Our experienced surgical nursing and support team works closely with surgeons and specialists to assure the best possible patient experience, along with the lowest possible risk of complications.

 

We are especially proud of our zero reported rate of hospital-acquired infections for outpatients who have had surgeries in our hospital.

 

We normally meet in advance with patients and the family member or friend who will be with them the day of the procedure, making sure we allow plenty of time to answer their questions and address any concerns they may have.

 

We explain exactly what they can expect the day of the procedure and tell them how to prepare and care for themselves at home afterwards. If their procedure requires general anesthesia, one of our nurse anesthetists will make sure they know any needed safety precautions to take before the procedure.

 

We schedule and manage our work flow with the patient’s comfort and convenience as our first priority. We make every effort to minimize wait times, normally getting started within minutes of the patient’s arrival. Once the procedure is finished, we check vital signs and make sure the patient is alert and feeling well before releasing them to return home.

Minimally Invasive Surgery

 

We are experienced and equipped to offer minimally invasive “band-aid” surgery.

 

Rather than performing the procedure directly through an open incision, the surgeon makes several small incisions and inserts surgical instruments and a laparoscope, a video camera which transmits live images of the procedure to a monitor.

 

Most patients heal much faster and experience far less pain after laparoscopic surgery than after a procedure using traditional surgical techniques.
